Installing the Comet USB driver


Please make sure your Comet is turned off! At this stage, DO NOT connect the Comet device to a USB port on the PC Note: It is recommended to install the USB driver under Windows-XP

1.	Please click here to start the driver installation software (CometUSBDriver.exe)

2.	Click Run for the question "Do you want to run or save this file?"

3.	Click Run for the question "Do you want to run this software?"

4.	Click Next on the page "Welcome to Comet USB Driver Installation!"

5.	Click Continue Anyway (not 'STOP Installation') for the message "The software you are installing ... has not passed Windows Logo testing ... "

6.	Wait a few seconds for the page "Please use a USB cable and connect your Comet USB to your PC, NOW !".

7.	*At this stage, please use a USB cable and connect your Comet* device to the USB port on your computer.**

8.	Select 'No, not this time' if this option appears on the page "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" and click Next.

9.	Click Next for the question "What do you want the wizard to do?". Verify that "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" is selected.

10.	Click 'Continue Anyway' (not 'STOP Installation') for the message "The software you are installing ... has not passed Windows Logo testing ..."

11.	Wait a few seconds and then click Finish on the page "Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard".

12.	Click Finish on the remaining page (if you haven't closed it before).


Installation of the Comet USB Driver is now completed.

Windows now shows the "Found new Hardware" Baloon, and then "The New hardware is installed and ready for use" - confirming that driver installation ended successfully.
