Please make sure your Comet
is turned off!
Before (!) connecting your Comet
to a USB port on your PC, please make sure you have already installed the
Comet USB driver on your PC, as described
here.
Upgraging software in your Comet must be done by first connecting your Comet
to a USB port on your PC (by using a USB cable).
At this stage,
please use a USB cable and connect your Comet device to
the USB port on your computer.

Please click on the 'Connect to my Comet' button below to connect to your
Comet.
Wait for the Comet's Serial Number to be displayed and then...
|

Click on the 'Upgrade my Comet software' button below to start upgrading software in your
Comet.
|

Click Run for the question "Do you want to run or save this file?"
|
|
|
|
|

Click Run for the question "Do you want to run this software?"
|
The process of upgarding Comet software will then start. The whole prcoess takes about
7-8 minute. Please wait patiently until the WHOLE process is finished.
While upgrading its software, the Comet's display shows "BTLD" as an indication that
upgrading its software is in progress.
In any case, DO NOT disconnect the Comet from the USB
port on your PC, while the upgrading software process takes place !
After the upgrading software process is ended an appropriate message will tell you that
the Comet can then be disconnected.

In the very rare case that upgarding your Comet software may have failed
for any reason
(e.g. you have disconnected the Comet from the USB port on your PC while running),
then just follow the sequence
described above but INSTEAD OF clicking any of the 'Connect to my Comet' or 'Upgrade my Comet software' buttons above,
just click
HERE
!
(In some very rare cases you may also need to take out the Comet's
battery and immediately insert it back, before attempting again the
'Upgrading Comet Software' sequences as described here).
Please note! If the upgrading of the Comet's software
is not successfully ended (after having been started),
then the Comet device may be rendered unusable.
